Re: IDEA FOR T610 APP
Just use a midi editor to increase the volume in the midi before sending
them to the phone.
Ive done that and it works great.

FYI, if you invest $30 (or a little less if you are lucky) in an IR adapter
for your PC, you can access a virtually unlimited supply of MIDI files on
the web to use for ringers, and set them to full volume with the trial
version of Anvil Studio. You can also cut and edit any part of the song you
want for ideal ringer efficiency. You can also backup your phone numbers
and make your own background pictures.

Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).

Ive found that the volume is set to max on quite a few midi tones when
opened in Anvil Studio, even though when on the phone they are quiet.

FYI, if you invest $35 or so in a bluetooth adapter instead, you can do the
same things as with the IR adapter and you won't need line of sight between
the phone and computer. In my small apartement I can keep the phone in my
jacket pocket and up/download stuff via BT, extremely convenient...

Honsetly, do you really do it that way? Having bluetooth on all the time is
very power consuming, and requires recharge of the battery very often, at
least that is what I have heard.

Early bluetooth implemetations were very power consuming (I had a T39 where
switching on BT would reduce battery life by two thirds) however later
implementations are much better. On my T610 I get 6 to 7 days with BT off or
5 to 6 days with BT on.

Hehe, maybe you should listen less to anecdotal information then? Yes, BT
reduces battery life some, but not horrendously so on my T610. The battery
life isn't all that great ANYWAY, I still have to charge the phone at least
once a week.
Since I have a bluetooth headset and a dongle for my computer to transfer
pictures off of it, it would be an incredible hassle to flip through all
those menus time and again to turn bluetooth on and off. I set it to on when
I got the dongle and now I leave it like that; works just fine that way.

Yeah, that's a better buy, but I actually have the t300 so IR was my first
thought.

Ah right, it doesn't have bluetooth? Yes, in that case IR is a better
option.
LOL, my bad!

*Really* ? My T610 gives me a day with BT on, with making a few calls, and a
few texts, if I'm lucky !
Is my battery up the shoot do you think ?

I had that problem with my first T610, it drained battery like mad. I turned
it in, they fixed it, I got it back, problem solved.
Don't know if it was a hardware problem or a firmware issue, but now I get
decent, if not fantastic battery life out of it.

I got mine through o2 online so - I guess sending it back to them is going
to leave me without a phone for ages. :-(
I got latest firmware - will an SE service centre have a look at it for me ?
It's under warranty so, theoretically they should. I'd get it back quicker
from them !

I couldn't tell you for sure, LOL! I do know though that I get like 5 or so
days of standby with some calling/photoing out of the thing on a full charge
WITH bluetooth enabled constantly.
What you're getting definitely is not normal behavior. Bite the bullet, turn
it in for repair... I guess you could ask the service center if they'd take
your phone, and if they don't I guess you need to send it in to your
network/service provider/whatever.
Good luck to you.
