Well I Finally have my T610 and am more than happy with it does everything I
    need and more.

Now my partner is looking for a new phone she likes my one but for some
reason she doesn't want to have the same phone as me even though it is
    perfect
for her and she likes it very much. (the female mind baffles). So shes come
up with the nokia 6600 not being too clued up on this phone just though I'd
drop a line and see what you folks in the know think about it?

ahhh slight update she now has changed her mind and likes the t610 and has
queried which is the better phone.

    Cheers

The 6600 is by far the better handset IMHO, I looked into getting one to
replace my 7650, but it turned out the specs were lower. Half the memory,
lower res camera. I tried it out and writing a message on it was just far
    too unresponsive for me.
I've not tried the 6600 yet, but seeing as it's better specced than my 7650,
    I assume it's better.

Sorry, not very clear... I looking into getting a T610 to replace my 7650...

I'll be getting a T610 soon - what res is the camera? My T300's highest is
    640x480.

I know you didn't ask this question, but I would recommend getting the Sony
Ericsson Z600 and save some money instead of getting Nokia 6600.

Don't get me wrong. I love the Nokia 6600, but if you don't need the MMC
capability and just want the same capability of the T610, but in different
case, I would recommend getting SE Z600.

    I had all 3 of them: Nokia 6600, T616, and Z600. I sold my T616, and now
using only my SE Z600 because it's basically the same as the T616, with a
little better display, better RF, better camera, better ring tone and it's a
    flip-phone.

I'm contemplating on selling my Nokia 6600 but I might want to just keep it
    as a spare phone.

How can you be "more than happy"?
You should be in an assylum if you were j/k

In case of the two (T610 or 6600) I'd say that 6600 was a better phone
    in most ways.

Well if they're only gonna give it 2MB of memory, VGA photos would fill the
    phone up damn fast!

Are you joking or is this the real max size? I might as well keep my T300
    then.

No, it's not a joke. The camera is mostly a toy on the T610, but I have
found it to still come in handy sometimes. Also, the T610 is compatible with
the bluetooth remote-controlled car, which is another useful peripheral for
    most people.

To be honest, I doubt that anyone who has bought a T610 bought it for its
camera abilities. The cameras on almost every mobile is nothing more than a
    gimmick.

Just to clarify my intentions - I also agree that mobile cameras are a
    gimmick at the moment.
BUT the camera that came with my T300 is useful for taking pictures of stuff
I started selling on Ebay. As I don't have a proper camera the pictures it
takes at 640x480 are reasonable quality and they give a clear enough view of
    the item I'm selling.
My plan was to get a free T610 and then sell my T300(on ebay of course). I
didn't care about the camera quality before I started with ebay but now it's
a factor. What I'll do now is get a mobile phone with as good quality colour
screen as a T610 and keep the T300 for just taking pictures. Unless of
course the T300 camera can work with a T610? Impossible?
Which leads me to another question - which phone from any manufacturer has
    the best quality colour screen?

Well the T610 has a GREAT screen, as long as you don't try to watch it in
sunlight. Indoors or on a cloudy/overcast day it's fine, but if it's summery
outside you can basically forget to see anything at all. It's sort of
possible to make out some details by shadowing the screen, but it's pretty
much hopeless really, which is a shame. It is a good phone otherwise, with
the additional caveat the RF reception could be a bit better.

Still, I like mine. I wouldn't want any other phone currently on the market.
The T630 will have a decent or maybe even good screen for bright conditions
and maybe better reception, but the design is uglier.
