Well, if you can get it to work, then why don't you post instructions of how
to do it? Maybe there are others out here who are hot on this info. ;-)

Isn't the "magic word" function limited to car hands free kits
with permanent power supply? At least that's what I have in
    memory.

"Magic word" can be used for either hands free or PTT-headset, but not BT
    headset.
So, "magic word" phones with a PTT-headset can be used "*****bound" without
    permanent power supply.

What's PTT? I suppose Knopf-im-Ohr-FSE, but what does the acronym
    stand for?

It can most definately be used with BT headsets. Mine supports it, so does
my phone. Only thing is I can't seem to get it to work. Although I've only
tried it for a bit yet. More this weekend.

PTT stands for "push to talk" and describes - you've guessed it by now! -
the little button on the microphone piece of a headset which can be pushed
and held in order to activate voice dial. Much more convenient than
operating the phone, i.e. if the contact you want to phone has a voice dial
    tag attached. :-)

You're right - and I stand corrected. However, BT needs to be switched on
permanently in order to use a BT headset's voice dial. "Auto" mode won't do
the trick. As it sucks my T39 and R520's batteries empty very quickly, I
never put BT on but always run it in "Auto" mode. Hence, I'm never able to
use voice dial on my BT headset and that's probably why I wrote that it
isn't possible to use voice dial on BT headsets.

    Kind regards,

On my P800 and HBH35 I can get Magic Word to begin dialling, but the phone
doesn't pass the call back to the headset. How's about THAT for stupid
    design!?!?

    Maybe your's does the same?

So is "switching it on permanently" the same as switching it on via the
    "more"-menu ("switch on bluetooth") ?

Nope, no nothing. It doesn't seem to recognize the magic word-command at
all. Again, I'll have more time this weekend to sort it out.

I have interest in this subject as well. As stated in the above thread about
the 39m, I love my r520M. Phone is still a keeper in my book. But, I am
having problems with "total" BT control. I wonder if FIRMWARE could also be
an issue? I have R2K, came with, and although Im one of those "Theres newer
out there and I want it!!" I havent bothered to send it away, yet. So, my
needs are simple, control the phone completely by Verbal Commands on a BT
JABRA Free Speak 250. I am unable to do so, anyone with a 39m or r520M who
can, I would love to hear their settings or views on the matter. Also, as a
previuous poster stated, "I havent spent my entire adult life trying, as of
    yet" in so many words.
