I don't know whether I am doing something wrong but I have just been
fiddling with my new toy :-) (the V180) and have noticed a couple of niggly
    letdowns so far.

Can you not have the date showing on the main colour screen as well as the
time? - if not I wonder why not?

Is there no way of quickly setting the phone into 'all silent mode' from
'loud mode' apart from going right into the menu or using the volume keys at
the left hand side (which make noises as use press them) - I am thinking
about at night where I want to leave the phone on but turn off all the
    ringers and sounds.

Also seems no way of reducing the brightness by half of the blue lit keypad
buttons as well which would also save more battery power.

Maybe these could be sorted out in new future firmware from Motorola. They
could also have the Time and Date alternate or scroll on the LCD display as
well I reckon if it were written into new firmware.

And I wonder why they didn't use a nice blue LED (like the blue colour for
the keypad which is V. nice) behind the outer LCD display, I think they have
    done that on the V220.

Also Does anyone know if the Alarm still works when the phone is switched
off? - couldn't find the info in the instructions.

Bad design fault - at the bottom of the phone you naturally want to open up
the flip phone from the bottom but at the bottom of the phone you have a
recess where the charger and headset socket are so your thumb gets caught
whilst you are trying to open up to answer the phone.

Apart from that I am so impressed - seems a lovely phone.

I set an alarm today but there was no alarm icon come up in standby screen
telling you that an alarm had been set which seems strange.

I was looking for the voice recording function and looked in the office
tools part of the phone but its not there yet you can record a short voice
note when sending an MMS message.

Cannot see any kind of wizard that allows you to copy all your SIM contacts
straight onto the phone memory in one go.

and cannot find an auto time and date update setting getting the date and
    time from the network.
