The phone is not charging the battery.
It is not the battery. I have a 2nd phone, and moving the battery needing
charging to the 2nd phone will charge the battery. Moving the charged
battery to the bad phone will still not allow for charging.
It is not the charger. I have used the 2nd charger setup.
Yes, I have the Cingular 'protection' plan... much use it does me.
They moved all service out of the store and will now only mail a
replacement.
The replacement has a fee.
I also lose all ringtones and games and anything downloaded from the media
center and not stored on the sim.
I believe it is a manufacturing issue - phone is less than a year old and
the charging function is the only problem.
Where do you go to have a technician examine and repair a cellphone?

Hi,
I think the problem in the charge transistor and the fuse.

Re: Motorola V220 not charging
Locate a Cingular corp store (or some authorized reseller) that has a
repair dept. The replacement plan will mail you a different phone
with shipping labels to return the defective one, yes for a fee. As
for the downloaded information...I think if you got them from your
cell provider the account has record of you buying them so you can get
them again for free
