Now that Nextel is sponsoring NASCAR how important will it be to keep
capacity at them races they have? Looking at the Daytona 500, the first race
of the year, how can Nextel have the temporary but reliable capacity to
handle the 200,000 folks that will show up at the races? I know for the few
races I've been to that Sprint had problems ---- even at the track in KC.
They'd have plenty of signal, but no available lines to dial out on. I'm
talking for hours and hours.
I'd think about getting a Nextel phone, but the overall coverage and event
coverage concern me.

Nextel is supposed to be upgrading their networks to provide extra
capacity at the tracks.

In addition, they have some mobile towers that will probably roll in for the
big races.

Re: Capacity... (NASCAR issue)
They have built a MONSTER cow. It is a full sized 18 wheeler.

Really? I haven't had the chance to see one yet. I can imagine that it is
quite the sight.
