I usually use a i90, someone at work updated to a i870 and gave me his i860
(Motorola/Nextel) and all I did was swap the sim. Is that ok, or is the sim
different or better from the i860. It all works...Sorry to ask such a stupid
question, but you people here are so smart, I know I will find out the truth
    here.....Peter

You will not be able to take advantage of the MMS features with the
i860. So as long as you are not trying to text or send pics or surf
the web you'll be fine. If you want to do those things then you will
    need to update your SIM.

The Sims are supposed to be interchangeable with all THREE digit
Motorola phones. The info on your i90 sim can be transferred to the
i860 very quickly at a Nextel store or dealer. They did it for me
from my i88s to the i860. There's an accessory for $10 that does it
quickly that they use. It works on all 2 and 3 digit Motorola
    phones.

you will be able to surf the web, but not use SMS. you will also not be able to asign ringtones to individual contacts and your overall contact capacity is less. not a big deal.
