Am I able to unlcock my ic502 to use outside the US, Caribbean, UK, Mexico?

If not, will the ic 502 sim card work different Motorola phone for use in
the area I mentioned? Will the second phone have to be unlocked?

    Thanx

    Frank

the ic502 is not an international phone. it can only work in the us. the sim card is only for the nextel DC and has nothing to do with the phone service.

I have an unlocked Nextel phone, I believe an i60 or something like, that
worked in England with the sim from my old i860. I lost my i860 and
replaced it with an ic502. Will my ic502's sim card work in my unlocked
    phone?

    Thanx

the ic502 uses sprint voice network. Sprint (CDMA) does not use sim technology. the sim card in the phone makes the Nextel DC function. I do not know the specifics of Englands phone networks but i was not aware they had nextel (IDEN) service there.

Sprint Nextel | International Voice Coverage and Rates

according to the nextel website, they only have international roaming coverage which only works with specific phones, which the i60 is not and neither is the ic502. the only current phone that would work there is the i930.

an unlocked nextel phone does not really do much. it only unlocks it to the canadian IDEN network and the Southernlinc IDEN network. the majority of Europe is GSM (like AT&T and TMobile).
