That's ok...Verizon can keep their non-penetrating 1.9 GHz stuff and
I'll stick with what works...800 MHz!

Notice how you never ever see that annoying Verizon guy inside of a
building. "Can you hear me now?" <---said into the phone and this is
    what comes out... Ca....u....e...ow? ROFL!!!!

NEXTEL reminds me of Metricom...Much smaller growth than AT&T or Verizon

Until Verizon came along with 128KBps internet connect

    MEtricom went bankrupt!

    HAHAHAHHAHHAHHA

    Can you hear me now?

Re: Here comes VERIZON 'direct connect'

I hear that Nextel is getting ready to issue a press release- thanks to the
migration of certain NG posting subscribers to Verizon, the average IQ of
the remaining 11 million+ subscribers has risen by 25 points, and they
anticipate that the average Customer Care call will be reduced by 3 minutes,
as they won't have to talk so S-L-O-W to the remaining customers to get them
    to comprehend.

I emailed Verizon and told them to send that " can you hear me now ?" guy to
a few zip codes.12469 being one of them.
I got a very nice reply from them.

So lower frequencies penetrate buildings better? Thats one thing I love
about my nextel, I can go from talking outdoors to indoors seamlessly.
