Re: VZW PTT beats Nextel hands down
Oh, yeah, I forgot. Nextel has spectrum licenses for the entire
continental Unites States (I'm not positive, but I believe they have
spectrum licenses for all of AK and HI as well). Verizon does not.
Verizon is also a hodgepodge of network from other carriers. Nextel
built thiers from the ground up. If they decide to suddenly cover the
entire United States, they'd beat Verizon hands down. Nextel also
offers military grade (durability) handsets that Verizon does not.
Not that I'm a Nextel customer or anything, and I've had my terrible
share of Verizon service, so I am biased against Verizon, for the most
part. But still, what a bold prediction. So, what if every other
company went out of business except Verizon. I hope you like limiting
choice and monopolies.

Many people said that in really heavy sand conditions, the Jeeps did better
because they were lighter. The Hummers got bogged down in the sand, whereas
the Jeeps just took out across the sand.

so what? Here's a test- take your normal run of the mill, $40 Verizon
phone, and a comparable $40 Nextel phone, go out and drop them waist
high on your driveway. Call me on the Nextel phone and let me know how
many pieces the other one is in.
If I remember correctly, Nextel is the only cellular provider that
offers phone built to military specs for water resistance and durability.
And then there's the new Verizon PTT
slogan-...............................................................................<beep>
"Can you hear me yet?"

Yup. The i55sr bounces... I drop mine intentionally on concrete just to
show it off.

If you've had half as much fun reading this as I've had writing it, I've had twice as much fun as you.
