VANCOUVER (CP) - Sierra Wireless, a provider of wireless modems for laptop
and handheld computers, has announced a new product line combining a mobile
phone with handheld e-mail and Internet access.
The first of the Voq line of phones, which include a flip-open
computer-style thumbpad for text entry, is expected to be on sale in the
first half of 2004, providing "compelling voice and data functionality in a
single, pocketable device," Sierra Wireless said Wednesday.
