    A few days back someone posted that number portability will hurt nextel- I
    surely don't see it that way- the reverse in fact- BIG time!

    I only just found out that I can take my existing verison home phone line
    and transfer it to nextel and add it to my shared minute plan for
    $20/month. That should actually save me a few bucks in addition to getting
    the extra handset for the wife. For the amount we use the landline it
    should work out well. If I have to I can add another 300 minute plan to it
    and at worst break even! 600 shared minutes plus DC should cover it in my
    case. When people figure that out I think people will move to wireless in a
    big way. Buy nextel!

    Until the one time CABLE/DSl goes out and you wish like hell you had a phone
    line to dial into the internet. Did I mention you wont be FAXING from the
    house anymore either. To some it wont matter, to me, been there done that
    and that backup phone line has come in handy way too often.

    Faxing could be done via efax. Been doing it for years.
