Yep, pretty nice and sturdy construction. No sensible external moving parts
    either.

Watch out that big screen though...

Yup that's that nice colour screen guzzling all the power. I found with my
6100 if I play games etc., it drains the power a lot more than just
    leaving it in my pocket.

Yeah, battery life comes down to how you use it .. if you play lots of
games, have the backlight on for extended times, use the camera a lot, or
use bluetooth a lot.. it'll go down very fast .. use it like a normal phone,
it'll last a while .. you gotta remember its a PDA as well as a phone ..

I'd wait for the 6230 though, I got rid of my 6600 within a month - too big.

I get 3.5 days on average, sometimes more than 4.
You're either keeping BlueTooth on all the time or you're in an
    area with really terrible reception.

    Re: Is nokia 6600 solid?

I'm pretty satisfied. Construction, battery life etc. are fine. Screen's
great. Software seems solid. And, after hours of harmless fun configuring
WAP, Mail and MMS, it's a practical PDA as well.

Downsides? The monthly GPRS bill, the fact that I can't get PC Suite to see
my Bluetooth dongle so I can't backup (yet I can send contacts, files etc.
    to my PC).

Anyway, if you screw up it's only 12 months till the next upgrade...
