My trusty wired headset has finally given up the ghost (phone drops the call
after 4 seconds when in use), so I'm on the hunt for a BT one.

Has anyone used the "Jabra" kit, especially the BT200 or BT250? I only want
to spend about £50 as I will be using it at work, and my car has a CARK-91
    fitted anyway.

    Help, opinions and advice appreciated.

Yes the Jabra is reckoned to be the best of the bunch by most here.

If your budget is £50 it'll be the 200, unless you find someone
discounting old stock now that the 250 is widely available. The only
difference is battery life, so if you'll be making little use of it
    the 200 should suit.

    Make sure your handset is running firmware version 5.50 or later;
earlier versions are useless at bluetooth.

And try wading through the interminable questions and answers on the
subject of BT headsets (Jabra and others) and the 6310i in the Google
Group Archive. Check both this group and in uk.telecom.mobile.

It comes up in about 10 different threads every month, so you'll have
    no trouble finding it!

I'd second that. The Jabra 200 is fine. I have exactly the same setup -
CARK-91 for on the road and a Jabra200. Firmware 5.51.

    And me!! :-)

6310i in car kit, and Jabra 200 whilst (dman it) on foot, and around the
    office.
The BT200 also works fine with the 3650, and 6600 (but look for the badge on
the box - a blue circle- that states that it now works with the 3650 and
6600). Full voice dialling, repeat last call functionality.

    And to cap it all

    http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/1316.htm are doing the BT200 for 39.95
(and CPW PROMISE to price match) :-)

Re: 6310i + Bluetooth headset help

RE the 5.50 firmware, is that something I can upgrade if I get one with
    older firmware?

I've seen them on eBay etc., but if the firmware is a "big" issue, I'll get
CPW to price match, and make sure I get 5.50. ;-)

    Thanks everyone for you input.

Huh? Your original post indicated you already have a 6310i. And CPW
    won't price match eBay!

Whatever, yes the firmware can be flashed to the latest version at any
Nokia Service Centre. If the handset is more than 12 months old they
may try to charge you, but provided you state that the upgrade is
needed for bluetooth compatibility the charges should be waived.
