    Hello

how can I reset my 6600 (the previous owner changed the PIN code, and the
access code to the portfolio) ?

Second question: If I first backup on the MMC card, reset with the code
(taht somebody hopefilly gives me soon here), and restore it from the memory
    card
    1. will the code be restored as well?
    2. what data do I lose?

    THANKS

you can reset your cell by tiping in this code: *#7370#
Once you done it you will lose all your data saved on the mobile save-space.

To format your mmc you don't need to have a code. just go to the menu
    --> extras --> mmc --> format

You'll lose all date saved on mmc like all the pictures, videos, maybe
contacts. on mmc there are NO PASSWORDS saved.

    hope i could help

YOu can password protect the MMC tho, cant you? Needs to be formatted to use
it again I believe .. offtopic tho ..

Accessing the portfolio (wallet?) can be reset by a code on its own ..
search groups.google on this one, iv seen it posted here before .. it will
erase its contents, but reset the password to it ..

If you also need to reset the main pin, then you'll need to reset the whole
    phone.

If you want to reset the main pin ????? Mmmm

if ya talking bout the security pin code normally 5 digits, you cant reset
that unless you know it, no amount of formating or holding down the pencil
key for safe mode etc etc will reset it. If my memory serves correct I think
you get 5 try's then on the sixth I think it blocks anymore trys for 5
minutes ( or was it 4 trys then blocks on the fifth - something like that)
The only option then is a nokia service centre, which will cost you anywhere
from £10 upwards to reset the code back to standard..
