Why are you guys using IRda instead of BlueTooth?

Cos we have older PCs and don't want to spend money on BT dongles, I expect.

I can't get my 6820 to connect properly with XP pro (despite much trying and
frustration), however I made it work on W98 (I use a dual-boot) by limiting
the IRdA connection speed to 115000bps in Control Panel. Ironically my
Siemens SL55 connected beautifully with no problems.

    Thank you for your request!

Vishay IR adaptors may not function with Nokia PC Suite data
synchronization program therefore we can recommend to use Oxygen Phone
Manager for Symbian OS phones in order to establish connection. You
can view the screenshots of the program, read main features
description and download the latest version 2.1.0.1 here:
http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ Nowadays, it is the most convenient
software for Symbian OS phones data management. Using Oxygen Phone
Manager for Symbian OS phones you can manage your phonebook and
calendar contents, read phone's messages and send SMS messages.
Please, refer to 'Help' option for thorough connection description,
after you will install the program.

Also this very IR port may require additional adjustment. Just go in
'My computer' -> 'Control panel' -> 'Wireless link' -> 'Hardware' ->
'Properties' -> 'Advanced' - here you should set 'Infrared transceiver
type' parameter at 'Sigmatel 4000' or 'Sigmatel 4012' setting. Also
you should descrease data transfer speed from 4 megabits per second
(4000000) to 115200 bits/s , as it is the standard speed for the
phone's data transfer ('Speed enable' parameter).

If you will have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
