found a 7650 a while back at a train station. it worked fine for a couple of
days, and then when i tried to make a call it would be 'barred'. does this
mean its locked? i beleive it was on the Optus network (australia) because
it had a sticker on the back.

how can i unlock it? ive tried using some of those IMEI numbers you enter,
but it just says "code error".

Hmm, you're asking us to tell you how to make fraudulent use of what is
effectively stolen equipment..? I don't think so somehow.

Why didn't you hand it in to the police..?

The phone no doubt has been reported lost/stolen by it's owner. The IMEI
    is blacklisted...end of story.
