Take care: If you use JAR files for any other purposes than Nokia games,
    you have a problem.

After you install PC Suite 6.4, JAR files are opened
with the Nokia Application installer. This happens because the Nokia
installer associates all JAR files with the Nokia Application installer
and deletes the previous association from your registry.

This is of course completely ridiculous, since most JAR files have
nothing to do with Nokia and should be executed as normal Java programs.
Nokia thinks they own the world...

    Paul.

That's easily reversed of course. Select file types and reset the
    association.

Yes, for you and me and many others it's easy to undo, but as you said
before, "I wonder how inexperienced computer users do this...".

My point is, that Nokia should keep its hands off from things that don't
belong to them. JAR files are a SUN standard for Java archives, and as
such have many purposes, they are not invented by or solely used by
    Nokia.

    Regards, Paul.
