Anyone have any clue on why Nokia decided to get away from the model
numbering scheme that they'd been using for years? It used to be that
you could tell which technology as well as frequency a certain model
would work with by the model number e.g. XX10 would be GSM models for
900/1800 Mhz. XX70/XX80 CDMA, XX60/65 TDMA, XX90 GSM 1900, etc. The
model numbering now it's almost if not impossible to determine from
the model number. Some models are even made with the same model
number for Euro/Asian and North American markets even though they're
different models intended for specific markets.
