I've got a 6210 with an entirely dead display. The phone is still
working, I can receive and make calls. But it's pretty useless without
a display.
Before I get rid of it on ebay, I would like to erase the contacts as
well as all SMSs that still might be in the input folder.
I need somebody to tell me the exact sequence of buttons to press to do
the following:
1. erase all contacts from the memory-resident phone book (not the SIM
card).
2. erase all SMSs from the input folder
As I do not have a display, please use the following terms for the buttons:
left button
right button
scroll up
scroll down
off hook
on hook
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
* 0 #
Thank you.

Just throw it in the bin!
Smash it to bits with a hammer, it will make you feel great and worth more
than the 5 quid you'll get for it on eBay........

Thanks a bunch, Peter! The sms erase procedures seem to have worked
just fine.
May I ask you to have another look at the quoted part? there seems to be
something wrong with the first part, where it says "button" without
left/right/up/down.
Also, the second part gives me an (error?) beep after: right, down,
down, down, right, down (beep!)
What's wrong there (if anything)?

Your procedure has two parts:
1: selects phone memory,
2: erases phone memory
The second part gives me an (error?) beep. After: right, down, down,
down, right, down (here come the beep)
