    Hi Mike

    Cheers that code worked.

Unfortunatly it has been unable to solve my problem.

There is a default mobile number set as speed dial number 1, this can not be
viewed or edited via phone book or speed dial settings, and even restoring
the phone to factory settings has no result.

Does anyone know how I can delete/change this number?

    thanks

The speed dial key '1' is usually reserved for the voicemail system and is
normally programmed by the SIM card in use. You can normally only edit
keys 2 to 9 (0 is reserved for WAP access where the phone has that
    facility).

It's probably a function of your sim card and is you voicemail
number. Press "1" and hold it in for a few seconds and see
    who answers !

Which network are you on ?
