A few days ago, having read that T-Mobile USA (my carrier) will soon be offering the Nokia 3230, I looked up some info on it. Although I prefer clamshells, this sounded like a good phone, and I thought of perhaps getting one.

Here is some of what I read:

    http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,65363,00.html

    and a review:

    http://www.gsmarena.com/review.php3?...ew=33&idPage=2

This evening I noticed the 3220 is available on T-Mobile, and FREE for new subscribers. (I could perhaps get that deal by renewing my contract.) Amazing, for an EDGE Symbian Series 60 bluetooth smartphone to be given away for free!

HOWEVER-it doesn't seem to be the same phone at all. No mention of EDGE, nor Symbian smartphone, nor Bluetooth. Just a lot of nonsense for the teeny-boppers--flashing lights, "cut-outs", etc.

And doing a new search on Nokia for the 3230, I come across a description that sounds similar to that on T-Mo's site:

    http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,58033,00.html

Amazing-two different pages on Nokia about the 3230, that seem to be describing (including the photos) two completely different phones!!

    What is going on here?

    See More: Two Diifferent 3230s?????

    The T-Mobile phone is a 3220... not at 3230

Yes, sorry, I apparently got those two similar model numbers mixed up!

Too bad, the 3230 looks like a much better phone than the 3220! Anyone know
if the 3230 will become available on T-Mobile as well?
