Nokia 6230 recording call question

When recording phone calls on my 6230 for the first time I noticed an
annoying beep every five seconds. After reading the owner's manual it
doesn't appear there is any way to turn this beep off. Is there
something I'm missing in my phone settings? If not if there an
app/hack available to disable this feature?

the beep is to notify the other end that they are being recorded. It's
to do with legal things.

Sending a regulkar 'beep' used to be a legal requirement when
recording voice conversations, but isn't any longer. These days the
law just prevents recorded conversations being used in evidence unless
the other party was informed that the call was being recorded, which
is why you often get a "call may be recorded for training purposes"
announcement while you wait in a queue with many businesses.

Nokia haven't bothered to dispense with the feature, and no, there's
no way to turn it off.

BTW, if you use this feature a lot the 6230i can record hours rather
than the 3 minutes that the 6230 is limited to.

At work we get the beeping whenever we are being recorded so you know not to
swear at your collagues.

Is this option to record calls available on the 6680?
