What is the difference between the DKU5 and DKU2

I have heard the DKU2 is the replacement for the DKU5 but WHY?

What are the improvments/differences if any.

Its not a replacement. The DKU-2 and DKU-5 are for use with different
phones. There is some circuitry built inside the DKU-5 which the USB
port recognises when the cable is connected. The DKU-2 is just a
straightforward cable. As a result, the DKU-2 is quite a bit cheaper.
