How to send SMS from program.

Hi

How can I send SMS through my Nokia Phone attached to my computer, I
want the program to connect to the phone and send text messages and
also be able to receive them.

Is there any other method other than AT Commands?

Please Advice

You don't mention which phone you have. www.logomanager.co.uk will do the
trick for DCT4 phones such as the 6310i, for later phones MobiMB will do
it I believe, from the same source.

The various versions of Nokia Data Suite can send and receive SMS on the PC

I use Data Suite 5.1 with IRDA and a 7250 as an "SMS Terminal" at home. It
can send the same text to multiple numbers if required - but I don't expect
any SPAM SMS from you, please. OK? LOL

There are later versions of data Suite (up to 6.4 now I think) available on
the Nokia Site which cover a wider range of phones

I haven't tried to send MMS - I don't THINK there is a utility for that in
NDS 5.1

You will pay the normal operator SMS charge of course

For the newer phones, this function is upcoming in Pro Suite or Mobius/PX,
rather than MobiMB. If anyone wants to try it out before it's officially
released, just let me know.
