Cheaper and easier to go to your local Nokia Care Centre.

You need far more than a simple cable. You'll need UFS (or any of the
variants), GTi, Prodigy or JAF.
> whats the cheapest or least expensive. whats it called
JAF is the cheapest simply because it's not as comprehensive as the others.

Have a look at the GSM-Solutions link in my sig and the home pages for each
box. You may also want to have a read of http://beam.to/gsmforum. If you
can read through all the bickering in there, there is some useful
information and knowledgable people.

If the phone is in warranty then it should not cost anything!

And to do it *properly* would require equipment costing more than getting
the job done by Nokia. Yes there *are* cheap ways but they are not
reliable and you could end up with an expensive brick.
Still, you pay your money and you take your choice.

Agreed. However, if the OP is thinking of setting up and doing the same as
a sideline then it could be money well spent.

Yes. Whatever he does he shouldn't even consider one of the cheap (£35ish)
"China" flashers.
> Still, you pay your money and you take your choice.
Indeed, if I was setting up in a small way (bit too late for that now given
the amount of kit we use) I'd probably go with JAF and stick to doing Nokia
handsets at first, and then possibly go with UFS+HWK or Cruiser.
