Does 6680 now support the SIM access profile? That would be a good
improvement for car use.

Enter *#0000# into your handset to get your version of firmware.
If your phone is still under warranty you should be able to get it
upgraded for free, just tell them you are have a problem with the
handset. :P

Type in on your phone : *#0000#
This will give you a V (from version) and then the version number.
>charge for the upgrade at a sevice centre ?
No idea, that depends on the service centre. Just contact one, and ask
for a price offer. If they have the time (call for an appointment ),
they'll probably charge only a little cost or maybe nothing (at least
that's the case in the Benelux).

This should go in the FAQ.
Type *#0000# on the phone.
>and do you know what they charge for the upgrade at a sevice centre ?
Nothing if it's within the warranty period.

nothing that i couldnt live without -
the improved picture quality would be good - mine are very yellow with the
flash
and the enhanced bluetooth connectivitiy might be better with the
gps/earpiece
other than that seems like a great phone.

Does it really matter? We should be entitled to FREE Firmware upgrades,
seeing it is not possible to do it ourselves like other phone models can.

I'm not saying that shouldn't be entitled to free upgrades within your
warranty, but if you don't have any issues with the phone then why bother.
Bug fixes are usually for very specific problems. Just upgrading doesn't
usually gain you anything, except the possibility of having some
firmware that now has a problem that you will see.
