I have a paid and registered Logomanager 3. It worked for a while
(although buggy: it showed obnly half the files and folders on my
6230i v3.30), but suddenly it reverted to the trial version.
Could that be because I blocked it's "phone home" functionality
in my firewall (I don't like this kind of crap from any program)?
What a bugger. Since I will absolutely refuse to let such a program
make outgoing internet communication, I'll have to go and look for
a cracked version then. I used it only for managing playlists anyway
because of its bugs.

Have you contacted Logomanager, what did they say about it ?

I assume you mean MobiMB, not LogoManager. I couldn't locate a registration
under your name or email, so it would probably be best if you contact
support directly with your details.

This is almost certainly caused by a known bug in this phone's infrared
comms, rather than in the software - are you using infrared? There is a
knowledgebase article on this at:

This kind of 'crap' has become necessary unfortunately - you should try
making a living writing your own software where for every legal
registration, 5000 pirate copies are detected (I am not exaggerating, and
these are just the ones I know about), it's not fun. It is unlikely to be
the cause of your problem though unless you have done something strange - an
Internet connection is not required to operate the software (though it helps
during installation), and it is a simple matter to reinstall.

Well thank you very much for your upstanding position on this - no effort to
contact me at all to find out if the issue can be resolved, straight to
piracy instead, not that a pirate version will fix your problem. It makes
me wonder why even I bother offering ticketed email support, live support
and knowledgebase articles for whoever asks (most of the requests I get
consist of little gems like 'give me crack' though :-) ).

Take no notice, Mike. There are those of us who appreciate your efforts.

That's correct.

I used a different email for registration, as I always do for such things.
BTW, I didn't order support and updates.

Yes. However, the clone cable I bought isn't recognised by MobiMB. It does
work (after installation of a 3rd party driver) with PC suite, and that
spurprised me since MobiMB reports "communicating with PC suite" when it
initialises.

Thanks, I'll try that.

One could say that if the pirated installations outnumber the paid
installations it isn't _that_ effective, so I'm doubting it's
necessity. However, I DON'T LIKE programs th "phone home" without
telling me first, and giving me the option of not allowing it without
reducing functionality. If it wasn't for my firewall, I would only
have noticed it if I looked at my switch when starting MobiMB and
seeing the LEDs flicker.

I'll try that.

Sorry that I was rude, but this kind of behaviour of a program
irritates me seriously. Reminds me too much of spyware.
What kind of information does MobiMB try to transfer when you start
it up anyway? And can it receive commands back?
