Have set different ringing tones to caller groups but all that happens when
anyone in said groups call me is that the default ring tone sounds.
Anyone have any ideas?

COULD be that you have the same number assigned under different names? =
Phone gets confused, and only play the default.
Is it the same with ALL numbers that you have in groups?
Are you using "phone and SIM memory", and maybe have the number under
different headings in BOTH??

Re: 6310i caller group ringtones not working
No,
each number has own name.
Only one entry for each family member, under family have my home number as
home, my brother under his name with his mobile number, in friends each
different friend only has one number(so each number is different)
No duplicates.
Yep, regardless of what number all that plays is whatever the default one
is(set in tone setting)
With or without sim and phone memory it does it.
No, in phone and sim memory numbers are just the same as in sim.
No different headings.

Re: 6310i caller group ringtones not working
Just a thought....
Have you tried "backing up your phone" (Jusy in case) and then a "Factory
Reset"??
No guarentees it'll work, but MAY be worth a try.
Be careful of data loss though, if you don't fully back up your phone.
Guess the next alternative would be a Nokia Service Centre :-(
Good luck
