Nokia 6310i - how do I save a sent text?

OK so I know it is from the Stone Age, but my Nokia 6310i works well.
BUT I cannot find away of saving texts that I send. Can anyone advise.

So it seems now that I checked it.

OK, save them before you send them.
They're just phones, anyway. Push a few buttons and you'll save
and archive them just as you like.

Are you guys serious with this great information that you can't
find out of your phones?

not sure your last sentence is actually a question or not - you've put
a question mark at the end, so I assume it is. Were you actually asking
was "Can't you find this info out from fiddling with your phone and
reading the manual".

Then answer is NO and I have done both.

Most mobile phones automatically keep a record of sent messages, mine
currently does not. All I want to do is set it up so it does this
automatically.

Saving it first is an option, but a rather cumbersome one. Given the
advances in technology since my first text enable mobile phone that
saved texts automatically you would have thought it would be possible.

I was wondering whether it was just a firmware issue and something I
could upgrade, so advice would be welcome, as long as it's not wise
cracking. Unacceptable responses include (but are not limited to)

Get a new phone, you <fill in as appropriate>
and any vague unthought out reply that does not help in any way.

Sorry, not possible with the 6310i as far as I have heard of. It takes 2
or 3 buttons to save the message and send it and after 3 or 4 messages I
got used to it.

Other mobiles from Nokia, even older ones had this feature, but not
this one.

Menu> Messages> Message settings > Text Messages> Save sent messages

Now messages that you send are saved in Sent messages folder
