Please be very gentle with me, I have honestly tried to understand
    some of this stuff.

    We have Tmobile
We have the Nokia 6101 phones.
I have downloaded the newest version of PC Suite.

I want to be able to send pictures from the phone to my computer,
preferably for free. My wife really dislikes the ring choices on
the standard phone, again I like the word free.

I think I need to buy one of the following:
    A DKU 2 cable
    A DKU 5 cable
    A CA 42 cable
A wireless bridge, a USB IrDA dongle (same thing, I think)

Which of the above will be the easiest to set up and use? (I am
inclined to go for the wireless IR)
Is a Bluetooth dongle the same thing?
Will the Nokia 6101 talk to a Bluetooth?
Will the PC Suite allow me to move the pictures to the computer?
Will the PC Suite allow me to move new ring choices to wife's
    phone?

Thank you for any patient replies. We are old people and this new
technology is difficult to grasp, especially when the grandkids
tell us by phone to just do such and such.

To get free ringtones from the net ( I mean: any tone you find and
    which you can 'preview'):

just connect the audio-out jack of your soundcard to the audio in-jack
and record the tones you "preview" from the WWW-sites with the Windows
    soundrecorder.
Convert the .wav's to some format your phone accepts et voila ! you
can get any 'previewable' ringtone for free !
(I do that wit 'MP3 to Ringtone Gold', which .MID facility I don't get
to work properly, but .AMR works just fine)

Works like a charm for me.
I strip leading and trailing silence in the recordings with Adobe
Audition, btw. but I guess there are free music editirs around.
