Hi,
Would somebody please tell me what I'm overlooking here?
I'm trying to get the 'IMEI' number from my Nokia 6120 phone -- it's
supposed to be displayed using *#06# (but that does nothing). In fact,
none of these codes work on my phone:
NOKIA 5110/5120/5130/5190/6110/6120/6130/6150/6190
IMEI number: * # 0 6 #
Software version: * # 0 0 0 0 #
Simlock info: * # 9 2 7 0 2 6 8 9 #
Enhanced Full Rate: * 3 3 7 0 # [ # 3 3 7 0 # off]
Half Rate: * 4 7 2 0 #
Provider lock status: # p w + 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 + 1
Network lock status # p w + 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 + 2
Provider lock status: # p w + 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 + 3
SimCard lock status: # p w + 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 + 4
1234567890 - MasterCode which is generated from IMEI
However, this sequence DOES work on my phone:
Nokia
12xx, 15xx (except 5125), 61xx, 71xx, 3285, 63xx and others
* Dial *3001#12345#
* Select Field Test or Net Monitor
* Select Enabled
* Turn phone off, and on
* Thenceforth test mode may be disabled/reenabled by selecting
Field Test in menu and dialing 00 to disable, 01 to reenable, except
3285, 3360, 6360, where 2100 or 0000 disables and 2101 reenables.
It's fun to read on the display, but I'd still like to get the phone to
display the IMEI number. Thanx.
....Dave

Why not just look inside the battery compartment ?
If * # 0 6 # doesn't work you could try # 0 6 #, make sure you are typing
it in correctly is easy to get it wrong if you rush.

Nokia 6120 is not a GSM phone so it doesn't have an IMEI, it has an ESN.
