There would grow hair out on my tung before i would be finished with the
praise of this phone.
It is the most wonderfull of all the things i own.
And i am not very easy to please........
Superb photo 1600x1200(I have had positive comments from a photosite(danish)
where i uploaded a photo.(www.fotokritik.dk), and now i see that i even did
not use best quality on the phone, only "normal".
Superb video 640x480 with sound.
Superb screen with 320X240 pixels 2-1/2 inch.
Of course i am on a 3G network which delivers about 325 kbits down and 128
kbts up.
"Well does it not make me internet ready?"
Well of course it does and i just downloaded Opera mini web browser and
installet it!
So now i am on the internet with IE quality. It will translate every site
and show pictures, links and all. And it will only use very few kilobytes to
do it, so the bill for using the 3G net will be misely small.
It is about to replace my PC!
What about programmes? Well i play chess with Chessmaster, and it even plays
that evergreen i had on the Amiga computer "Cannonfodder". Besides "Age of
Empires"FIfa 2005" "Microsoft Word" "Microsoft Excel" "Sims2" and "Sony the
Hedgehog" "Siberian Strike" "Crash and burn"-all in the phone at the same
time.
But what about DVD+
Well i actually have convertet a few and the phone will hold 2 at a time on
a 512 megabyte mini sd card(delivered with pocket for normal sd so you can
use it in a card reader)
Get a fast card. I recommend "Transcend".
They are shown at full screen with stereo sound in 48000 sampling rate.:-)))
I split the films in sections comparable to the chapters on a normal dvd.
The next chapter can be selected by a click on the cromeplated ring.
People that sees this and hear the "Cinema sound" in the headphone buttons
are really, really amased!
But now i think i will close before you get tired of reading. Let me just
say ditch your pocket pc's- here is the one for the future Nokia 6280!
A more than happy owner.

Well.... i have caught my breath and sought i would mention a few things
more:
Mp3 and AAC sound player that is equal to-or superseeds the Nokia IPOD in
quality.
And the radio with fixed stations, that gives me newsupdate while i am
motorcycling around.
Streaming video and newspapers from the internet.
well......;-)))
Good by for now

Re: 6280
Have had a 6280 for 4 months now and although it's a nice phone it has
some significant problems
1) Battery life - totally appaling on Three. I may have a bad example
but I can't get more than 2 hours talktime out of it
2) Dust getting into screen - gradually getting worse to the stage
where it is very noticeable now
3) Lots of crashing. At first I thought this was a 3G issue but have
had it several time when just sending text messages whilst the signal
was switching.
I did have one of the earliest examples as an upgrade from Three so
hopefully newer ones are better.

There have been an upgrade i am told. Mine doesn't crash.
If one only uses it as mobile phone it will last for days(my wife)
But i am using it heavy duty like a laptop computer, so i have to load it
with current once a day.
But who cares? A laptop runs for 3-4 hours.
Video-phoning costs some current. but it is great fun.,-)
