    Hi group,

I've got a new Nokia 6280. I've got all my addresses in my pc, my old
cell phone and my palm. I tried to transfer them via IR from my old
(siemens) cell phone: does not work, as 6280 wants me to confirm every
single address. I tried via bluetooth from my palm: same problem. I
tried with Nokia's PC suite: there you only can manually enter
contacts, no function for vcard-import is provided.

I've seen that some people sell software that that provides the
functionality to import vcards into the phone. But is it really the
only solution to buy yet another piece of software? There has to be
another way for such a simple task!

Has anybody else run into this problem? Is there some workaround
existing? Is it possible to transform my vcards-file into some other
file-format which is importable to 6280? Are there free
programs/scripts that can do the job? Or is there an easy solution that
    I have just overlooked?

    Thanks for any input,
    stephan

Two options that I can see, first if you can move your vcard entries
into Outlook or Outlook Express then Nokia PC Suite should import them
    from there.

The other option is to give Oxygen Software a go:

solution: i've used my old cellphone to transfer the data onto the
simcard - this worked great ...
