How to add a new screensaver into theme's menu?

I try to copy a "brand" folder screensaver from eprom to flash rom (in the
same folder c:\system), and i have replace the "brand" SS with a mine
anim-gif image (with the same name "BmpAnimScrPlugin.mbm"), but don't work
:-(
Q: must I edit file screensaver.aif & screensaver.rsc? do the phone need a
BMP image?
