A friend has purchased the Nokia E62 and I encountered a couple of problems
today while setting it up for him ... and would like help from Nokia E62
    users.

    1. An certificate error is received while installing an application and the
application help says to do the following to fix the problem BUT I cannot
find a menu called TOOLS to drill through to make the fix. Here are the
recommended fixes for the problem ... but I cannot find tools in the menu:
    Nokia E62
Tools > Application Manager > Application Downloads (select options) >
    Settings
Make sure Software Installation is set to On and Online Certificate Check is
    set to Off

Tools > Application Manager > Configuration > Software Installation
Change this setting to All (not signed only)

    2. The device owner has email from SBC/Yahoo using sbcglobal.net and I have
his email account setup but I can't figure how to auto-sync the device every
few minutes. Is this possible with the Symbian OS?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've never used an E62 but when I read the manual (from nokiausa.com) it
instructs to select "menu", "settings" to reach the "application manager".
The application manager probably can be moved to another folder too. Other
phones have the "tools" folder (where "settings" appear), perhaps this is
why the phone help suggests selecting the tools menu instead of the settings
menu. Hope you get the issue fixed.

The location of the App. Manager in the E62 is different from the E61. See
here for the procedure in the E62: <http://www.e-series.org/archives/192>

It certainly is possible with the E61 so it should be the same with the
E62. Press the email button to go to your email inbox (if you've already
configured it) then Options -> Email settings -> Automatic Retrieval
