Hi folks,
Being new to a 3310 (former owner of a 5130, until Wednesday), I discovered
that my sw version was 4.18. This involves that my phone doesn't report the
names into the phonebook on a computer request. That is annoying, and I'd
like to update my GSM's firmware by myself. Who knows where to find a sw ROM
image & flash software (including complete procedure) ? Being an
electronician & having the cable, this couldn't be a problem for me, but I'd
be pissed if I was shagging my phone for such a bad reason !
BTW, does someone have an e-dress for the Nokia support service ? I wouldn't
like to call an overpriced line...
Regards,
G.T

What's an "electronician" then?

Which cable do you have? The serial port cables are not suiatble for
flashing.

Difficult to "shag" a DCT3 phone these days. Personally I've always
preferred to use WinDDP or WinDLS along with a Dejan box, but many others
prefer standard flasher cables and Rolis (or whatever).

On the same note, since the demise of flashes.ptisp.org, I haven't been
able to find anywhere to get files for windls - any ideas where?

As far as I can tell, they tend to get shut down pretty quickly by Nokia.
ISTR that Dan (Dr Nokia) had an FTP offering them though.
