What does the modem log file show?
The log file option needs to be activated, and will usually show up as a
name.log file, with the name being something associated with the phone.
    6340i.log as an example.

You may also get this error if the phone and account are not "provisioned"
    for data and internet use.

I was told the 6340i does not have GPRS.

    [Reformatted the proper way round..!]

He's talking about the 6310i not the 6340i..!

    The 6310i is a tri-band (900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM-only phone with Bluetooth,
GPRS, HSD, etc., mainly used in the UK and Europe; the previous model
(6310, not "i") did not have 1900 MHz, this was added in the "i" version
to allow GSM roaming in the USA. The 6340i is a multi-standard phone
primarily aimed at the North American market (GSM 850/1900 Mhz, TDMA
800/1900 Mhz, AMPS 800 Mhz). AFAIK it doesn't have GPRS, as you mentioned.

They look similar but are totally different internally..!

    BTW Please don't top-post, thanks..!
