Hello All!
I cracked my Nokia 3360's display and nothing is visible on it. The
rest of the phone works, as in I can make and receive calls. I bought
myself new 3650 today. The issue is that I have a lot of contacts on
my 3360 which I'd like to transfer to 3650 via the IR, but I can't do
it because of the cracked display. I am wondering, if someone with
3360 can tell me exact menu button combo is needed to transfer a
contact via infrared. 3360's user manual says:
1. Recall the phone book entry you would like to send by IR.
This is not a problem as my plan is to transfer the first one
and on successful transfer, delete it, so the next one shows on top.
2. Press (menu) button twice (Details -> Options)
3. Scroll to Send Bus. card and press select
4. Point the two IR ports at each other
5. Scroll to Via infrared, then press Select
Step 1, 2 and 4 are no problem, but Step 3 and 5 need scrolling for
which I'm hoping someone can tell me exact what key combination is
needed. Also, I need the key combination to delete a contact.
Thanks in advance!

Re: 3360 Cracked Display Help
i think if you use opm or nokia data suite you can back up the phone
book, then transfer it to the new phone. assuming you have ir on your
pc that should be fine

Re: 3360 Cracked Display Help
I bought a IR port for my desktop. Windows sees it and displays that a
nokia 3360 is in range, but Data Suite can't seem to recognize my
phone. It just hangs trying to find the phone most of the time. Other
times, when it doesn't hang, it can't find the phone. Anything special
I need to set for it to recognize my 3360? I am running Win2K
Thanks!

Re: 3360 Cracked Display Help
Don't buy OPM
Well, this is a sorry tale indeed!
Last year I purchased (Yep! its not a cracked copy!) OPM2, and used it
to manage my 7110. All this time I reported bugs & improvements to Oxygen,
as well as flaming the lamers who wanted cracks.
I recently dragged myself into the new age! My 7110 was showing its years,
and I'm now the proud owner of a dinky little 8310!
(I even purchased a IrDA adapter for my PC!)
So now its time to load up the old phonebook, So I fire up my copy of OPM2
and apply for a new key, removing the old 7110 & adding the 8310.
(for those of you fortunate enough not to have OPM2, the application is
locked
to an IMEI number, to prevent fradulent copying of the program)
I recieved an e-mail back - My OPM2 software licence has "expired"
What this means is that, after paying Oxygen for the product, I can no
longer use it
without handing over more money. No mention was ever made of this on their
website.
(If it was, I would never have purchased! after all, who keeps the same
mobile phone their
whole lives?)
Several e-mails have passed back & forwards to no avail. Oxygen refuse to
allow me to use
the software I have purchased, insisting that I purchase a new license. What
a ripoff!
So, ladies & gentlemen, a warning for you all. Don't purchase Oxygen
software. They will
rip you off. Maybe not today, but in a years time, when you change your
phone.
Funny, I don't have the same trouble with Logomanager!
