    Hello,

I asked some questions a while ago(thanks to everybody who answered). Some
wasn't answered, so I'll try again:

    1) Is there a way to change the color of the font in the standby screen? If
I put a dark image, the black test cannot be seen.

    2) Is there a way to put a full screen caller group logo? If not, what is
    the maximum size in pixels?

    3) Is there a way to put a special "recieved SMS" tone for someone in the
phone book or for a caller group?

    That's it.

Thank you very much in advance,

    Tal

    Hi,

In display settings/colour schemes, you can change the colour of your font
to blue, pink, turquoise, green, gray, orange, red, or violet. As far as I
am aware, you cant change the group logo. You can set caller group tones but
    only for ringing, not SMS.

    HTH,

    C.

ooh how do you assign different tones for different people in your phone
    book?

And also... where abouts is the IR? I can't see it anywhere!

Yes, but only the colors of the network coverage and battery status bars are
changed in idle mode, NOT the font color!
    I haven't found a way to change that :-(

    cheers,

On the right-hand side I believe (I can't check as my 6100 is at the Service
Centre for repair). It's the opposite side to the volume controls.

Why? What have you tried to do with it?

If you want to test your IR port, you need another IR device to communicate with
it. One which you know is working.
The easiest way would be to use another compatible phone and just send a
    business card via IR.

Alternatively, you can do a simple confidence test by looking at the IR port
    whilst it's transmitting.
Infra Red is invisible to the human eye, so unless you're a superhero like a
powerpuff girl or something, you won't see it. However, if you have a video
camera or a digital camera (preferably with LCD viewfinder) you can use this to
    look at the light.

Point the camera at the IR port, and try to send a business card. The phone will
attempt to communicate a few times before giving up.

It's no good just enabling IR, as the phone waits for a signal before
communicating anything. You need to make it initiate the communication.

You should be able to see the light flashing, like this:
