I can do this form the settings menu but after wards I still find the
calendar populated.
Anyone know how to really reset to factory configuration, with nothing left
in memory

Do a restore factory defaults, then use Nokia PC Suite's Content Copier and
chose "Erase data from phone...".
This will erase or set to default the following items:

Names and Numbers (phone memory).

Birthdays.
