Does anyone know what going on with the Nokia 6600 and Orange?
Everyone else seems to have released it!
There will be replacement models out by the time they get around to it! ?

I was told in my local Orange Shock that it will be mid to late January

Orange are pretty much the only network that do *extensive* testing on new
phone models when they are released.
They train their operators so that when you phone and ask for help they know
what they are talking about as they have already tried it.
unfortunately this does mean that they are a little behind with releasing
the phones.
I have a 6600 with an orange SIM card but cannot use the wap etc as nobody
knows the settings and orange wont help as they haven't released the phone
yet...but when they do..I don't anticipate having any problems at all

Got my 6600 up and running first time with O2, they have Orange listed as
well.

Issue 89 of Mobile Choice magazine (11 Dec - 7 Jan) on pages 10 and 11 -
states that you can use the 6600 with a bluetooth headset..
Here is the text..
"....the 6600 also has built-in Bluetooth, like a number of other mobiles
reviewed this issue. As ever, it's great for wirelessly synching with a PDA
or laptop, and for pairing with a Bluetooth headset for hands-free wireless
calls."
Of course, I don't take this as gospel, but they seem to think it will work,
Best wishes

Yes ! I spoke to Orange at the weekend, and they say it will do voice-over-bluetooth.
However, they omitted to tell me that my 7650 wouldn't - untill I had bought it, two headsets and an in-car kit !

Good grief !
Both my bluetooth adapters cost under twenty quid each - including P&P from Hong Kong.
Bought them off e-bay, took 4 days to arrive, even work with my 7650.

Re: 6600 on Orange? Whats going on...
Any one else noticed that with orange the nokia 6600 does not have a
menu item for divert?
- Press Menu
- Tools
- Settings
- Call Divert <---Does not exist!!
anyone else got this? I've phone orange and they have told me that they
are actively looking into this..
After a lot of discussions I managed to get the GSM codes to set and
unset the divert, but this is only a short term fix.
Cheers,

must be an orange thing..
I have a 6600 on orange but was bought sim free...and divert is there.
I have the original software though, not the latest orange version, which is
believed to sort out the voicemail notification problem
