When I signed up for SPCS, I was told that my first two months of Vision are
free, and that I will receive $5.00 of credit each month (now, and beyond
the first 2 months free) towards downloads -- my question is this -- does
this count towards anything downloadable via Vision (i.e.. Ringers,
Screensavers, applications, etc)?
They were not very descriptive as to what it covers, and there are a few
things I'd like to at least check out, if in fact everything is covered up
to that $5.00 per month credit.
Thanks

That $5 credit covers various downloads available directly from the
SprintPCS web site (games ringers apps, etc..). The pay items on the
SprintPCS web site will be very obvious when you go through the
download process and you have a chance to backout if you don;t want to
actually download it.
If you choose to get your ringers and games from somewhere other then
the Sprint website, Sprint will charge you nothing.

Re: Question regarding Vision/Downloads
Ok, I downloaded a screensaver from the SPCS website. It put it in my
content manager and told me to download it w/ my phone. It said it cost
$1.00 plus tax. Does that $1.00 plus tax (or however it works out), come out
of that $5.00 credit towards downloads that I'm supposed to get each month -
or is there another area of the site that I'm to be looking for? There site
isn't very descriptive in that aspect.

Re: Question regarding Vision/Downloads
Yes the $1 plus tax come from the $5 per mo....
It will be on your first bill when you see it...
I have 4 vision phone on my account, and have gone through one billing
cycle...
But , however, at least as of today, the website, has no way to 'track' the
events..
You can track the number of 'events' from your phone, but not the total $
cost...
Ringers are addictive!!!
Most of the SPRINTPCS ringers EXPIRE.....
There are other FREE ringers...(other sites), but they seem to be much
bigger!
Some of the games, are permanent!
Manage your 'space'... You may want to delete the 'demo' games'...Yes..they
are DEMO versions, not FULL versions!

Re: Question regarding Vision/Downloads
Ok....another question. I see where ringers and some games expire in 90
days. Does that mean they will come up missing from my content manager or
will they actually stop working on the phone?

It means it will be removed from your content manager, but you will still be
able to use the ringers installed on your phone.

Re: Question regarding Vision/Downloads
And yet one more question regarding Vision downloads:
I'm currently on the free two-month intro plan for Vision. I don't
know that I have any monetary credit towards downloads, but here's the
question... if I download *free* ringers to my phone using one of the
non-Sprint websites (e.g. CraigGiven.com, where I'm not using the
Sprint Content Manager to do anything and have made the ringer files
myself), am I charged any download fees from Sprint?
TIA

Not that I'm aware of, as long as you are subscribed to Vision ...
