My contract is almost up, and I'm looking for some advice. I've had a
fairly beefy plan with Sprint for nearly a year now: four phones
sharing 2000 minutes, Vision, etc. -- altogether it's $170/mo with
taxes. It's not a bad deal at all, but I've been trying to consider
this very carefully since I'm about to have, I'm assuming, a two-year
    contract renewal facing me soon.

First -- and this is a simple one -- how exactly does the renewal
    process work?

Second, should I stay with Sprint in your opinion? Stay with this
plan? I have no major complaints with them really, but with all the
strong competition out there and now the number transfer thing, it's
    becoming a difficult decision.

Third, how likely is it that, with the somewhat large-ish plan I have,
I might be able to at least get upgrades for my two Sanyo 4900s to
8100s, or maybe a slightly reduced bill? I've only been with Sprint a
year, but it's been a relatively high price-range kind of year, and I
    pay early every month.

No, I'm not looking to make some amazing deal and get my salad tossed
for being a good customer. I'm not going to lie or make lame threats
and try to pressure some poor bastard into approving a slightly better
deal for me. I'm just trying to feel out exactly what my options are.
Two years is a long time. A $4000 commitment for phones can be scary
-- especially if you're me and your car doesn't even cost that much.

You can remain on that plan month-to-month, but will face a new contract
when you get new phones or you can call retention and try to get a better
deal at a lower price and maybe phone upgrade credit (although 18 months has
been the usual time period). If you like Vision, nobody else has quite the
same thing yet (or announced for the future), so why change? You should be
able to get retention directly at this number: 866-207-7913 per
    sprintpcsinfo.com.

I have basically what's on the web:

    or more shared plan)
    (Phones 3, 4,5 are $20 each)

    download credit/mo.
2500 Shared minutes / Unlimited N&W, Unlimited LD $115 (for the plan)
7 PM nights($5 for the account !) <<== they claim this expires TONITE
Free and Clear America ($5 for account!)
    Free PCS-to-PCS calling (Free)
    Detailed billing

But of course, there's the two-year commitment or extension....
