After using Voice Command to dial a phone number that uses an
auto-attendant (airlines, banks, etc), the service being called does
    not recognize any touchtone presses.

In other words, when I hear the choices "press 1 for domestic flights,
press 2 for international flights" I can press the numbers on my phone
all day long and they aren't recognized.

BUT, I can dial the exact same number manually (not using Voice
Command) on my Sprint phone and the touchtones are recognized fine.

Anyone else have this problem? And anyone know how to get right to a
voice command tech that actual knows what DTMF is? It took me 10
minutes before the agent even knew what I was talking about this
    morning.

I've had exactly the same problem, especially with American
    Airlines.

Nobody at Sprint can even understand what I'm trying to tell
them, I hope you have better luck.

I know what you guys mean, and I can find nothing on this.

I'll take another shot and see.

Rob: Here's an interesting tidbit. I can use voice command and dial
into my place of work's IVR system without a problem, DTMF passes
through (I can even dial into my own extension, pick up, and hear the
DTMF coming out the other end if I dial from my pcs phone). However, if
I call up American Airlines through Voice Command, their IVR will not
recognize any DTMF tones that I dial.

Perhaps there's something in the way the AA call is routed, as opposed
to a number an end user gives voice command to dial?

I have found this is a sporadic issue with Voice Command. I no longer use
VC very much because of it, as it is very annoying.

Boy - I can't tell you the frustration I've had in getting Sprint to
even understand the problem, as you mention.

If a telecommunications company employee doesn't know what DTMF is -
then they need to find a new job.

I've got a call into Executive Services on this issue. I will let you
    know what I find out.

Hmm, maybe it has something to do with the fact that technically voice
command (I'm assume that you're talking about *-talk and not the built
in voice dial) is a forewarded call.

I use voice command a lot, but I haven't tried using the DTMF tones.
