Actually, better to write it down the second time you activate your
phone. There is a one time code usually used for the initial activation.
If you screw up, they will give your MSL. Just write down the first
number, press nothing on the phone, and then tell the CSA that your
phone battery must be low, and that the phone just shut off. Plug it in,
and then if they give you the same number again, tell them that the
phone restarted after you punched it in. The second 6 digit number
you're given is your MSL and will not expire.

I looked at the computer screen when he was activating my 3588i and got my
MSL. The SPCS rep even commented that there were three 6's in the MSL.

Like I've said before, COstco and other wholesale clubs like that do
that because you pay a mambership fee, which is roughly 99% profit to
them.
What deaprtment store offers a warranty for ever on a Sprint phone?
