If you look at the headers on this post, I'm using Teranews.

    http://www.teranews.com

Not exactly free, though. A one-time setup fee, and *then* it's free=20
access, with a daily MB restriction (and SPCS would be calling you=20
LONG before that restriction became a problem anyway).

Been reliable for me so far.

    I work for Sprint PCS
    I *don't* speak for them

No, it isn't ... and why should it be a lot? SPCS offers unlimited data
plans on the business side for $80/mo, with the use of a pcmcia card. Vision
was designed for the phones to be just casual usage and not to replace an
ISP. I haven't seen any additional charges myself while tethering my laptop
to the phone while on the road, but I don't use it, save for pulling down
email and doing a short casual surf session on the web.

What we need here is someone to bite the bullet and just use the hell out of
it ... Have some way of measuring usage and wait till they either get a
warning or extra charges on their bill. Someone who knows there will be
additional expenses involved for the monthly bill and won't ***** about it
    later ...

Bob ::And no ... I'm not volunteering either::

How do you do this? I just got off the phone w/ tech support and they again
    deny it it possible.

    TIA
