OK,
I am at the end of my rope...
2 visits to phone centers, 2 phones later, at least 10 calls to CS -
Tech Support - Retention etc. etc.
Phone has been programmed, reprovisioned password changed etc.. etc...
blah blah blah.
and this is where I am at:
1) I had Web now I don't.
2) Ready link still don't work
3) Still can't update profile Vision nor RL error code 1012
WAIT UPDATE!
I went into my service screen ##3282 and changed the username and
password to my vision pw and now I have web. The tech told me to
remove this and the phone should re-provision it. Yeah right..
I have the MSL code, can anyone here help?

When a SprintPCS phone is programmed up for shipment to the various=20
sales outlets, it includes memory for two login profiles for the=20
Vision network. Each profile resides in what is called a "slot"=20
(actually, I think there are five slots, but only two are of concern=20
here).
The default profile has one job: Contact the SPCS Vision network and=20
request the user profile, which goes in "Slot 1" and takes over as=20
the default. If the slot 1 profile goes away, or if "Update=20
Profile" is selected, this factory default profile, Slot 0, takes=20
over again and tries to do its job.
If that profile cannot connect to Vision, you get error 1012.
##DATA accesses Slot 1. The fact that you can manually edit Slot 1=20
and get it running strongly suggests Slot 0 is corrupted. Hence,=20
that update profile (called "Internet Over The Air", or IOTA) fails. =20
Unable to update profile. Error 1012.
The simplest way to get that fixed is to have the phone's software=20
reflashed. Of course, that puts all data currently on your phone in=20
danger, potentially, since, as with any operating system reload, file=20
integrity can't be guaranteed.
It's up to you if you want to carry this through.

If your phone was programmed over-the-wire before Ready Link (R/L) was
added to your account, and if your attempts to activate Ready Link do
not show up in the provisioning system logs as "Customer Initiated
IOTA," (call tech support and ask them to check for you) your
configuration is toast and the only way to get R/L working is to reset
to factory defaults, wiping out any user data in the process, then
reprogram the MSID and MDN. This process takes about five minutes,
after which you'll want to disable R/L, then access the web. If you
can access the web, go to the settings menu and enable R/L, and it
will get itself programmed OTA. Don't activate R/L unless you're able
to access the web first. You're better off to have a store tech handle
this for you so he can back up your data first, if possible.
If your attempts to activate Ready Link show up in the logs, it may be
possible to get it working without resetting everything:
1) disable Ready Link menu: Settings, Ready Link, Disable Ready Link
2) expire R/L from your account then reactivate it. Under some
circumstances, removing R/L from your account will cause an error that
may delay completion of the remaining orders by up to 30 minutes.
3) Wait for all orders to complete. If you can access the web without
errors, go to the settings menu and enable Ready Link.
If this process doesn't work, you're back to resetting everything to
factory defaults.
