what can I do with a sprint PCS phone in Canada?

hi,
I have a GL phone from SprintPCS, which I bought while working in the
US. I've moved back to Canada now and was wondering if I could make
any use out of it? The phone does not take SIM card, and I dont want
to go with Sprint again.

Oh, ok . Well, a model number would have been nice to see how old it is.

If you were in the states, there are few ways to go. Cellular providers have
to offer 911 service at no charge. Don't know whether that's a rule in
Canada as well, but if it is, you could give that a phone to a friend,
family member or donate it to use for emergency services.

You could also put it up for sale on auction sites, like eBay.

Which LG?

The 1100, 1010, 1200, and 3000 are all single band and will only work
on the 1900MHz CDMA channel.

The 5200, 5250, and 5350 are all dual band which means they can also
pik up the 800MHz analog channel.

I know there is a 1900MHz CDMA provider in eastern Canada, Montreal,
Quebec City area, but I'm not sure about other areas, such as
Edmonton.

To do this, you'd need the MSL to your phone and someone who knows how
to program it for their network.

Other than that, you might just recover some of your losses and try to
sell it on EBay or to a friend of yours here in the US.

It is almost certainly 'Subsidy-Locked' to only use SPCS as a carrier,
except for 911 calls. If it were unlocked, you might be able to use it
with the two major Canadian CDMA carriers, Telus and Bell Mobility.

Getting it unlocked requires the consent of SPCS, which they do not grant.

I suggest you eBay the phone.
