(Sprint) Sanyo SPC-5500: ##843461
You type this number in and hit ok/menu. Then you can change the phone
number and stuff. An easy way to get the lock out code is change your
number (or get a new number or port a number over or tell the CS rep your
phone won't work so they will try reprogramming it). The CS rep will give
you it first to type into your phone. It is dependednt on model of the
phone and carrier. Some web sites charge $15 or more for a lock code.
If you have any, reply back to this thread and I will add them to the
FAQ.

Nice to see that you advocate lying to circumvent controls in place for a
reason. Fine, upstanding troll you are.

No you won't- you'll either ignore them or answer with a juvenile response.

Hey clueless ... that number you've cited above, is your own personal MSL
for your phone ... and your phone only.

I'm confused about something. You posted previously the, via some as=20
yet unknown algorithm, the MSl is tied to the ESN. So, if it's tied=20
to the ESN, how can one MSL cover an entire model line?
It doesn't, BTW, but that's what you just posted, in contradiction of=20
your own information. I'm just wondering how you came to this=20
conclusion.

Nope. Each Master Subsidy lock is specific to that paticular phone.
There has been numerous attempts to see if there is a link to the MSL
and the ESN, and for years no one has been able to find it.
The ESNs are entered at the manufacturer's level, and are only
supposed to be used internally (to prevent people from taking their
phone to other providers and royally messing up their phone's
programming).
Also, just for fun, I tried your MSL on 3 phones, it didn't work on
any of them (and yes, they were VM4500s).
